A medical emergency on the campus of a Lakeport Unified School District facility is under investigation. TheLakeCountyNews reports superintendent Matt Bullard said symptoms associated with a chemical overdose or poisoning occurred on campus. Swift and efficient response by staff provided the necessary medical intervention needed in a timely manner. Bullard also said additional counselors and support providers are remaining on campus for student and staff. The LUSD will be partnering with the Lakeport Police Department to randomly search all campus facilities with narcotics detection dogs.
