Local Group Files Lawsuit Against Fort Bragg, Grocery Outlet and California Coastal Commission

A lawsuit has been filed challenging the planned Grocery Outlet store in Fort Bragg. MendocinoPublicBroadcasting reports the suit, filed by Fort Bragg Local Business Matters contends the California Coastal Commission, the City of Fort Bragg and project developer Best Development Group are not following the Coastal Commission’s own rules for development along the coast. The suit contends ocean views are not being protected and that the city is not adhering it’s own coastal program. The suit is not asking for damages, but rather a stay in construction of the store.
