DA Eyster Doesn’t File Candidacy, Brennan Will Serve Another Term as Judge

District Attorney David Eyster has apparently decided not to run against incumbent Superior Court Judge Clay Brennan. The deadline to file formal notice of intent to run passed Wednesday at 5 with no paper filed on Eyster’s behalf. MendoFever reports Eyster had recently been telling key members of the legal community as well as other judges and his staff that he intended to run. Because he has no opponent, Brennan will automatically be elected to a third six-year term.
