California State Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas has appointed assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry to the position of Assembly majority leader, Aguiar-Curry has served as the speaker pro tempore since July 2023, and in the State Assembly since December 2016. Aguiar-Curry represents the Fourth Assembly District, which includes all of Lake, Colusa, Napa, and Yolo counties, and part of Sonoma County.
