Saturday is drug takeback day in Lakeport. The Lakeport Police Department will be collecting unused and expired drugs at the lobby entrance of the police station on Main Street between 10-2. Over-the-counter or prescription medication in pill, tablet, liquid, cream or capsule form, including schedule II-V controlled and non-controlled substances will be accepted. Pills must be placed in a zip-lock bag. Vape pens and other e-cigarette devices without batteries will also be accepted.
