Two people are dead after a plane crash in Covelo. Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to the scene of the crash early evening on Friday, to find the aircraft on fire and the blaze spreading to nearby vegetation. Deputies began searching the debris field and located the bodies of two people. Deputies called the coroner and launched an investigation according to Aircraft Accident protocols and contacted the FAA and the NTSB. Identification of the two deceased is pending autopsies.
