The owner of the Union Lumber Company Store in Fort Bragg has asked the city to withdraw its legal suit against the Skunk Train. Owner David Figueiredo was working on a deal with the Mendocino Railway to purchase the Company Store building, so that he could retire after 40 years of serving the public from that location, but the lawsuit has rendered his negotiations moot. A hearing in the case is scheduled for Thursday.
