Mendo Board of Supers Say No to Measure B Funds for Ford Center

The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors at their last meeting decided not to approve a request for Measure B funds to build a new substance use disorder center. KZYX reports the board said a lack of specifics and issues with the new jail, which is supposed to serve inmates with mental issues were some of the reasons cited. Cost overruns on the jail, which hasn’t started construction were also considered an issue. The board also stated that a complete accounting of Measure B funds is not available. The project would require just over $4 million in Measure B funds.
