Man Who Pistol Whipped Girlfriend Arrested for Attempted Murder

A Ukiah man has been arrested and booked on attempted murder charges after pistol-whipping his girlfriend. Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a domestic violence call in mid-September. They found that Larry Commander had told his girlfriend he was going to kill her the entire time of the assault. Commander had fled the scene only to be located later in the day and arrested. He was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was booked on attempted murder charges. Bail of $250,000 charges was set. Commander remains in custody.
