A Lakeport man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Rohnert Park over 40 years ago. TheLakeCountyNews reports the persistence of investigators and DNA analysis helped track down Alfred Carretero, who was at the time a person of interest in the brutal beating death of Noelle Kinzie Russo in 1984. Carretero was arrested on murder charges earlier in the week and is being held without bail in the Sonoma County Detention Facility. Carretero has a prior record of arrests for assault and drug-related charges. He’ll appear in court to enter a plea on the 18th.
