Clearlake City Council Votes to Sell City Owner Property

The Clearlake City Council at their last meeting approved the sale of a property owned by the city in the 15,000 block of 36th Avenue to citizens as part of the city’s homestead program. The program offers a city-owned lot at no cost or $10,000 toward the purchase of a privately owned lot. The new owner plans on building a home on the lot. Response to the program has been good but applicants haven’t moved forward due to interest rate hikes. The vote on the sale was unanimous.
