A Sacramento woman spoke to the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors at their last meeting stating she was the victim of police brutality by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s office. The MendoVoice reports Kelli Johnson said she was walking the beach when she was detained, shoved into the back of a police car, and driven to the Ukiah jail, a three-hour trip where she was denied water, forced to urinate in the back of the squad car and was handled brutally upon her arrival at the jail. Booking logs state that she was arrested for disorderly conduct under the influence.
