Redwood Community Services is expected to take over the Lakeport shelter this Fall. Sunrise Special Services will continue to carry on operation of the shelter until such time as an agreement is reached with Redwood. Behavioral Services will work with both entities to ensure a smooth transition. The change comes after issues with staffing and shelter director’s Yvonne Cox’s extreme overtime charges.
