A fire in Nice left a home badly damaged. Northshore Fire was dispatched to the 6700 block of Keeling Avenue early evening on Thursday. The two people in the home were able to escape without injury. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to one room although the home sustained extensive smoke damage. Five engines and a tender from Northshore Fire and CalFire as well a medic unit, the Northshore support team, and command staff all responded.
