Students at Anderson Valley Service Learning Team, an after school program aimed at junior and senior high school students could be close to getting funding for a skate park. The students presented their case in Sacremento, asking to build a skate park on land next to the Community Park under the auspices of the Community Services District, which bought the land from the school district for a dollar. KZYX reports the group has raised just over $ 48,000 for construction and will hold a fundraiser at the Anderson Valley Brewing Company next Saturday.
