The Ukiah Seniors Center, which has served the community for over 50 years is looking for funding. Despite the pandemic, the center continued to serve the elderly population with meals, transportation and other programs. Most of the center’s funding is through grants, which are still being pursued, however damage from flooding in the spring and the failure of the fire suppression system in the thrift store has hit hard. The center has launched general appeals on Facebook, Instagram, and NextDoor and a more targeted appeal on GoFundMe.
