Mendocino County workers are expected to rally today at the Board of Supervisors meeting to defend county services. In a press release issued by the SEIU Local 1021, the union contends the county has refused to bargain in good faith with its employees as staffing levels in all areas of the county drop to critical levels. Currently the vacancy rate in county positions sits at 29% overall, with higher rates in Family and Childrens services, the Department of Transportation, public health nurses and mental health clinicians.
