A Fort Bragg man has been sentenced to state prison for poaching abalone and drug possession. Leroy Nicholas Robles was sentenced to two years in prison in Mendocino Superior Court. This past March, Robles was caught with 31 abalone and over 15 grams of fentanyl. He was caught again with 15 more abalone. The prosecutor in the case says the sentence sends a message that exploitation of the area’s natural resources will not be tolerated.
