The new director of the Lakeport homeless shelter has been arrested and charged with domestic violence by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Christopher John Bloodworth was hired after Yvonne Cox was let go from the position. The non-profit Sunrise Special Services continues to hold the contract with Lake County to operate the shelter. Bloodworth was arrested yesterday afternoon and is being held on a $15,000 bond. No other information has been released by law enforcement.
