Lake County’s unemployment rate was down slightly for last month at 5.5%, down from 5.6% in May and 4.6% in June 2022. TheLakeCountyNews reports the state’s overall unemployment rate was 4.6%, up from 4.5% in May and 3.9% in June 2022. In Lake County’s job subcategories, the top five for increases in a month-over comparison were information,leisure and hospitality, transportation, warehousing and utilities, state government, and nondurable goods. The number of Californians employed in June was up over 42,000 from this time a year ago.
