Lake County Parks and Rec has been awarded a grant of just over $2.3 millin dollars from the Statewide Park Development & Community Revitalization Program to revitalize Nice’s Hammond County Park. TheLakeCountyNews reports the grant will fund a number of improvements to the park. The design phase of the project starts this year and construction is expected to be completed by 2026.
