The Lake County Board of Supervisors meets tomorrow at 9 am and will consider whether to extend the county homeless shelter’s contract. If the amendment to Sunrise Special Services Foundation’s contract passes, the total compensation for fiscal years 2022-23 and 23-24 could increase to $460,800. The county’s assistant administrative officer, Stephen Carteralso the interim Behavioral Health Services Director, says the amendment would extend the contract through October 24th. The board, in an untimed session will also consider a special meeting to interview public defender candidates in a closed session.
