Air Quality in Mendocino and Lake Counties Affects By Oregon Wildfires

Air quality in Mendocino and Lake Counties has been affected by active wildfires in Oregon. The NWS says the air quality in Mendocino County especially will be affected today, expect hazy conditions. Currently there are no wildfires in Mendocino County, the smoke comes from the Flat Fire in Oregon, which has burned about 4,000 acres. Crowdsourced air quality monitors from PurpleAir report the worst air quality currently in high elevation areas near Leggett and the low valley areas of Philo. For those in areas of heaviest haze, wearing N95 masks outdoors is recommended.
