A former Willits Police officer is seeking an unspecified amount of damages in a lawsuit against her former lieutenant in Mendocino County Superior Court. According to TheUkiahDailyJournal, Natalie Higley has filed against the city of Willits, the Willits Police Department, and former WPD Lt. Derek Hendry, stating a hostile work environment and sexual abuse on the part of Hendry. The suit is seeking punitive damages against Hendry and is demanding a jury trial.
