Mendocino County officials report that the federal government has extended the deadline for submission of federal assistance applications for damages caused by storms earlier in the year. TheWillitsNews says Mendocino County residents now have until July 20th to apply for aid from FEMA. Although the disaster recovery center in Willits and the North County mobile center have closed, applications can be made at disasterassistance.gov or by calling the FEMA helpline.
