Anderson Valley High School seniors graduating this year received almost $300,000 in locally funded scholarships. TheMendocinoBeacon says 42 seniors applied for scholarships during their Senior Seminar courses, and their applications were reviewed by the organizations involved. Large awards from the Anderson Miner Foundation and the AV Education Foundation as well as community organizations stepping up to help make awards. A total of 16 groups funded scholarships for students this year.
