A scheduled hearing of a no-confidence letter regarding Lake County Health Services Director Jonathan Portney was pulled from the Lakeport Fire District Board’s agenda last night. TheLakeCountyNews reports that at their meeting in April, Lakeport Fire Chief Patrick Reitz in his report to the board said he was not ready to bring the letter forward. Reitz is an outspoken critic of Portney, clashing over public statements Portney has made about the Fire Protection District and performance issues.
