A man who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle on Northbound Highway 53 between Jessie Street and Dam Road near Clearlake late Friday night was pronounced dead on the scene. A notice asking drivers to avoid that area was broadcast over Nixle, saying the highway was temporarily blocked for a couple of hours. No other information regarding the man’s identity has been released. Investigation continues.
