A modified plan for a large housing development in the southern part of the city of Ukiah ahs been approved by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors. The development, previously called Garden’s Gate had been approved nearly 15 years ago, but the developer for many reasons never moved forward. The property changed hands and the new owner began the application process with a revised plan that they feel will be more marketable and work better for the site. The community will have 172 single family parcels with 39 earmarked for seniors and 13 targeted at moderate income families. The development is one of the largest in the county in the last 20-years.
