FEMA has given a just over $22 million dollar grant to create defensible space and fire harden some 500 homes in the area over a three year period. TheLakeCountyNews says North Coast Opportunities will operate the Lake County Home Hardening Program, bringing nearly 10 years of experience in disaster recovery, mitigation, and education. The program will target one area within Lake County, the Kelseyville Riviera Community Association.
