Snow falls; more expected

Much of Mendocino County, including the Ukiah Valley, woke up with fresh snow Thursday morning, and more is expected through Saturday. According to the Eureka Office of the National Weather Service, “Cold Arctic air continues to advect into our region as the system strengthens and begins its journey south by late today. A short-lived ridge will set in early this weekend, helping bring near record low temperatures tbis morning and Saturday morning. As for plowing, crews will be focused on main paved roads first.
