Damage to Sonoma Mendocino Coast State Parks Over a Million After Storms

The district supervisor of Sonoma Mendocino Coast State Parks has confirmed that damages to the parks from the recent storms are estimated to be around $1.2 million dollars, after the most remote areas of the park were assessed. Since the area was declared a disaster zone, state parks are entitled to apply for FEMA funds, and contracts for tree removal are being sought.
