A flood watch remains in effect for Mendocino and Lake Counties through the end of the day. The Russian River near Hopland could exceed flood stage over the next few days with continued rain. A high surf warning is also in effect for the Mendocino Coast. Another round of heavy rain is expected over the weekend due to an atmospheric river system moving through the area. Heavy rain on top of already saturated soil could make for continued flood risks. Winds are also expected to increase through tomorrow.
