Court Grants Change of Venue in Hopkins Fire Arson Trial

A change of venue in the case of the man charged with setting the Hopkins Fire has been granted by the Mendocino County Superior Court. Assistant DA Dale Trigg confirmed the change on Wednesday, after jury selection had begun. Trigg stated that seating an impartial jury proved difficult and that the change of venue would allow for certain people involved in the case to attend the trial. Now where the trial will be held is unclear, as motions must be filed with the court..
