At the Health Department’s last press conference of the year on Friday, Mendocino County Public Health Officer Dr. Andrew Coren described the confluence of influenza, RSV, and Covid-19 infections as a “tripledemic” and advised use of high-quality masks in indoor public spaces as well as getting vaccinations. Dr. Coren said the arrival of all three viruses at once is unusual and has stressed local hospitals due to increased demand on pediatric care providers.
