The man who robbed the Mi Esperanza Market in Boonville of $20,000 has been captured. Matias Tomas Vietto entered the market on Friday afternoon and robbed it at gunpoint. Sheriff’s Detectives learned Vietto was returning to his home in Argentina. Using this information, Sheriff’s Detectives discovered Vietto had an international flight booked from the state of New York to Argentina. An arrest warrant was issued and New York law enforcement captured Vietto Monday evening as he attempted to board a flight to Argentina. He’s being held in NY pending extradition to Mendocino County.
