Lake County Board of Supers Tie Their Pay Raises to Superior Court Judges

The Lake County Board of Supervisors recently voted to give members a 40% raise starting in March if not challenged. TheLakeCountyNews reports the ordinance that would give the increase requires a second reading that’s expected to happen on January 10th. The raise is tied to the salaries of Superior Court judges, in order to make sure it does not appear that the Board is simply approving raises for themselves arbitrarily. Board members in the future will now receive 38.8% of Superior Court judge’s salaries, which change on an annual basis.
