Preliminary Hearing Set for Man Accused in Death of Toddler

The man who was jailed after one of two children in his care died is scheduled to have his preliminary hearing on December 19th. Edward Two Feathers Steele pleaded not guilty in September to second-degree murder in the Aug. 3 death of a toddler. Besides the murder charge, Steele has also been charged with child cruelty in this case. Bail is set at $380,000. Officials with the Mendocino County District Attorney’s and Sheriff’s offices have verified Steele remains in custody.
