The Mendocino National Forest has a new supervisor. Wade McMaster is a veteran and a member of the Wintu tribe of Northern California where he serves as vice chairman of the tribe. McMaster began his new role this past Monday. McMaster has been with the Forest Service for over 12 years and grew up in Northern California near Shasta-Trinity and Klamath National Forests. He comes to the Mendocino National Forest from the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest, where he served for four years as district ranger for the Gold Beach Ranger District.
