Mendocino County Receives Funding For Updating of Climate Resiliency Plan

Mendocino County is set to distribute climate resiliency grants totaling more than $2 million. A press release states that the funding will allow the county to complete a comprehensive update of the Local Coastal Plan, which hasn’t been addressed since 1992. The update will improve local coastal planning in Mendocino County to better address and adapt to the impacts of climate change, sea level rise, and associated coastal hazards while maintaining the overall quality of the coastal zone environment in the interest of all.
