The first of two hiring events put on by the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will be held on Sat., Nov. 5 and Sun., Nov. 6., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Red Lion Hotel, in Redding, with a second being held on Sat. and Sun., Nov. 19th & 20th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at California State University, Northridge. The events are designed to quickly fill 200 wildland firefighter positions in California and parts of Nevada for the 2023 firefighting year.
