A traffic stop in Ukiah late last week turned into a pursuit, with the driver eventually crashing into a building on South State Street. UPD reports that an officer tried to pull over Malique West-Colvin of Laytonville, but he refused to stop. Attempting to escape officers, he reportedly drove 40 mph in a residential area and blew through stop signs. He continued to evade until he tried turning into a parking lot where he missed the turn and ran into a building. He then fled the scene on foot and is still at large. West-Colvin is wanted for state parole violations.
