A rally is scheduled to be held tomorrow at the CAL FIRE office in Fort Bragg at 1:30 pm to protest it’s proposal to co-manage the Jackson Demonstration State Forest with local indigenous tribes. According to MendoFever, a letter from CALFIRE to the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians Historic Preservation Officer offered co-management of only 75 acres out of the nearly 50,000 acre publicly owned forest, and the proposal made no mention at all of protection for Sacred Sites, a key demand of the Tribes.
