The National Night Out event held at Library Park on Tuesday had a good turnout. The event is back after a two-year break due to the pandemic. The RecordBee reports there were free hot dogs, popcorn, Hawaiian ice, and a large raffle in which the Lakeport Police Department gave away over 90 prizes including bikes, Razor scooters, helmets, fishing poles with tackle boxes, backpacks, gift cards, and even a kayak. Local law enforcement agencies were represented, along with various community groups and agencies. The event was funded with the help of numerous local sponsors.
