After-hours on-call services at the Lake County Animal Care and Control have been temporarily discontinued due to staffing shortages. Although responding to after-hours calls is not mandated, Lake County has always offered the service whenever possible. An on-call officer will be available on weekend hours through the rest of October Friday at 5 p.m. to Monday at 8 a.m. As of November 1, all after-hours services will be temporarily unavailable. Animal Care and Control are in the process of hiring more officers, and on-call services will be reinstated as soon they can be safely provided.
