Voters in Fort Bragg should be aware of a couple of changes to the ballot listing of candidates that have taken place. The MendocinoBeacon reports Tess Albin-Smith, an incumbent City Council member, due to a technicality, will now be a write-in candidate, and Alberto Aldaco who filed as a first-time candidate running against incumbent Lindy Peters for a two-year term has resigned from the race. Aldaco removed his name from the running after a local news service reported that Aldaco reportedly attempted to use his position as a city council candidate to assert control over a police officer in the line of duty and then committed a citeable offense.
