Ukiah Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with a grass fire set last month near Costco. Using the city’s license plate recognition system, UPD was able to identify the 17-year-old driver of the vehicle as it sped away from the scene, who was arrested on suspicion of felony arson, criminal conspiracy, accessory after the fact, and arson during a state of emergency. A second suspect was arrested by the Mendocino Sheriff’s office on an unrelated charge, and similar charges have been filed against him. A third 17-year-old suspect has not been located.
