Tana Fire Burns Area In Clearlake, Prompts Evacuation Orders

A fire in a structure that moved into nearby brush prompted evacuations in a portion of Clearlake late yesterday afternoon. The Tana fire was reported around 4 pm in the area of Crawford and Tana Avenues. Clearlake Police issued an immediate evacuation for the area, with three structures on fire and vegetation on the West side of Hwy 53 burning in the area of Pine and 31st Avenues and moving toward Utah and Armijo Avenues. Fire crews and water tankers were dispatched. The fire was contained around 6:25 and by 7:20 the evacuation orders were reduced. All orders and advisories were lifted at around 10:30 last night.
