Longtime Kelseyville Unified School district board member Rick Winer has announced that he’ll be running for reelection. Winer has been a public educator for over 30 years and has been on the school board for 21 years, serving as its chair for the last 15. According to the LakeCountyNews, Winer has been involved in nearly every aspect of being a board member during his tenure including hiring a superintendent, communicating with the public, approving building projects, developing board policies, and approving and oversight of the budget. He says he feels there is unfinished work to do in support of the students in the district.
