This past Friday, an Upper Lake man pleaded no contest in a 2020 homicide over a bad drug deal. The LakeCountyNews reports Christopher Jon McDonald entered into a plea agreement with the Lake County District Attorney’s office, facing a stipulated 25-year to life sentence in the murder of John Turner Dickerson of Nice. McDonald will be eligible for parole. He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 26th.
